Job Title: SW Engineer

You will be responsible for developing/implementing/customizing Nuance's innovative speech solutions forautomotive/mobile customers. You will also contribute to Nuance's global speechapplicationframework by adding/customizing Chinaspecific use cases and solutions.  To accomplish this,you will interact with external/internal customers, attend meetings, andcommunicate with them on a regular basis to clarify implementation details. Youwill also support customers through bug resolution activities.

Representative  tasks will include:
  
-             Design, implementation, customization,  evaluation, optimization of speech-related automotive applications
  
-             Design and implementation of middleware and tools  to assist speech application development
  
-             Study technical requirements for customer  applications
  
-             Work with peer application development engineers  and QA teams within the scope of one or more customer projects to realize the  project deliverables
  
-             Support our customers’ integration teams to help  them include Nuance technologies into successful products in an efficient way

Number of Years of Work  Experience: 3

Required  Skills:


- Fluent in English and  Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken
  
- Strong software design  and programming skills in C/C++  and Java
  
-  Good knowledge in script language like Python and/or Perl
  
- Good communication and  documentation skills
  
- Good GUI programming experience
  
-  Positive "can-do" attitude, well organized, focusing on achieving  results cost-effectively
  
- Ability and willingness to handle occasional peak demands
    

Preferred Skills:


- Knowledge and  experience of automotive infotainment systems
  
- Knowledge of a software development process (e.g. Scrum)
  
- Knowledge and experience of ASR and/or TTS
  
- Knowledge  and experience in HTML5, Javascript, client/server architecture



Education:

Bachelor  or above degree in Electronics  Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or  equivalent
